Friday night, I attended a concert that David played bass in...he's been taking lessons every Tuesday afternoon, so he could play in the jazz band...he almost gave up on playing bass, and wanted us to rent another instrument! Can you believe it...I told him, bring up your grades, and I'll get you bass lessons. So, he managed to that semester :) And here is the fruit of his labor!
The band sounded really good. They had a former student, and current music student of NIU, of their band director come and volunteer to conduct them, since the other jazz band
director got another job and left town. M
ary Beth has been so much fun for the kids...cause she is is kid too :).
